sighie. i'm having a 7 hour break from 12noon to 7pm (cafe meeting)..too bad my room at pgp's not ready yet..admin's taking damn long to reallocate me to room B or C..and meanwhile..i've gotta pay for the stupid room A..wanna go there and sleep..argh! 3 1/2 more hours to go..time to get down to some serious blogging..haha...
i'm officially 20. so sad..birthday's over. but i had a lot of fun celebrating this year though..haha..only thing was i ate too much!!! think i had indigestion for the whole week man..bleagh. horrible feeling. haha..went to hardrock cafe on the 4th(tuesday) to support amanda dear. she was working that night and i told her quite long before that i would go have dinner there. she really does seem happy working there. i'm very happy for her too. haha..but her skirt abit short though (i sound so mama-ish :P) managed to get a table where she was stationed at so i got her to serve me. ooOo..the food was good. pretty big servings too. first time i had real onion rings..as in whole onion skins..not the diced up ones like BK. dun like onions but those were pretty nice. haha..wanted to give my fren a treat..so i wrote a "love letter" on amanda's ordering form to tell her to pass me the bill at the end..hee ;)
was supposed to meet up with my ex-colleagues from my lounge for dinner on wed evening (5th jan)..susu and meifang..got to suntec pretty late after meeting at the cafe..then susu told me she had to work overtime so would be very late..i managed to meet up with fang..and guess wat..siti was there too!! haha..that was already quite a surprise..then fang was acting very suspiciously..kept giggling and asking me and siti to go toilet when we din need to go. siti was super blur too..she was like.."go toilet for wat?" haha..hilarious ;) anyway..after that, it was siti's turn to disappear while fang brought me down to the basement..some vietnamese cafe..and surprise, surprise..calvin, auntie ang and ady were sitting there! haha..those idiots..calvin planned for the surprise gathering to celebrate my birthday..so sweet! siti came soon after trying to hide this big pink piglet behind her back..haha..it's okie..i totally din see anything :D they got me flowers (sunflower) and cake too..hee..had so much fun that night..not to mention someone sent us home in a very old car..where the back doors couldn't be opened from inside and everytime someone wanted to get down, poor auntie ang seated in front had to get out and open the back door for us..haha. and we got pretty used to the squeaky sound produced when the car's signalling to change lanes..in fact..i must say that the trip home was more fun than dinner itself *grinZ* ;)
6th jan (thurday) - 3rd day of gorging..........
buffet time! haha..went to goodwood park hotel in the evening with mum, dad and sis. we arrived so early that the staff were still having their pre-shift briefing! talk about being ks..haha. the hotel's weird..at first, me and sis couldn't seem to figure out where the lobby was. we kinda walked one whole round outside and couldn't find it. in the end, you actually had to walk pass the buffet place..it's just..somewhere inside. pretty posh from within but looks pretty normal outside. the buffet was good..not as much stuff as vienna (novena) but still quite good. normally i wouldn't eat deserts at buffets..but those there looked so nice i had to try them. really stuffed myself that day..think i nearly burst from eating too much :P
supposed to go cycling with my nus bunch (sounds like bananas..hahaha) on my birthday but got cancelled last minute..sighie. thought can help me to digest abit. anyway, i met deb, mandy, germ, junejoo, shumei, karen and cass for lunch at NYDC heerens. dear clot and jing called from indonesia and canada!!! haha..those darlings..thanks for the birthday wishes! hee..their timing super good loh..called when we just settled down for lunch. haha..i was too bloated from the buffet the prev night to eat anything so i shared a pathetically small chicken pie with germ. must have looked so funny..2 girls sharing that small thing. yupyup..went to visit the viet pple at cine kbox before going to watch movie with the rg gang. only a handful went..then fangxi (boyboy) and mervyn were singing a duet..where most of the time, merv was singing the girl's part and fx singing the guy's. did i mention our team's sexes seem a little mixed up in my prev post? haha ;) merv tried to get me to sing but i said i din know the songs. he asked me to sing birthday song and i told him it was really my birthday but he din believe..haha.
the movie (Nobody Knows - japanese movie) was pretty sad. not very appropriate for a birthday but still very enjoyable..the little girl's ssoooo pretty! too bad she 'died' in the end.
change of topic...i love my YEP team!!! they are siao on one. we've been back for less than a month but we've met up for like..5 to 6 times? and that doesn't include the chalet! haha..dinner, movie, karaoke, cookout at dino's. it's been crazy..and alot of fun ;) went to kaiwei's (dino) place the sunday before sem started (9th jan). i was there pretty late cos i wanted to watch the tsunami thingy on CNA..the one where they had a minute of silence. it was supposed to start at 6pm but i guess they started slightly earlier than that. then dad wasn't convinced that that was the actual thing so during the minute, he kept asking when the siren's going to sound (apparently civil defence supposed to sound some siren to announce the start of the minute of silence) argh. was pretty irritated :P anyway. i got to dino's place super late lah, like 7+ i think. got a little lost. serve me right for not checking out the directions before i left home! the food was good. well, or at least i'm still pretty alive now! rocky was online..yahoo messenger i think. it was so funny to chat..using simple english and broken vietnamese..pretty confusing..haha. and the team actually remembered my bday! they made me an 'agaragar cake' cos dino said they wanted to bake me a cake but he din have an oven..so they made me this agar agar and put candles on top instead..hee :D after that was a really long session of going through boss's photos..he connected his digicam to the tv..and gave us a live commentary to go along with it..haha..felt like we were watching some documentary.
as for the weekend that jus passed..had chalet on friday and saturday (14th, 15th jan). i met up with huimin to check-in at east coast costal sands in the afternoon. originally, we were supposed to have a 3D2N chalet (1 room)..but we realised there were adjoining rooms so we decided on having 2D1N with 2 rooms instead cos very few were staying for the 2nd night anyway. think most pple had lectures or were helping to prepare food. it was so boring loh. we were there alone for a few hours before robin turned up with his guitar. haha..then jennifer and jianhao..and all the rest came..gradually. in the end, we started the bbq at close to 830pm i think cos the food came late..and the charcoal came later. haha..we're such a great team! ;) there was this silly conspiracy going around cos fangxi, chinchao and binghui's bdays were around the corner so we were planning to trick them. fangxi's one fell flat before it even started. let's face it, girls are too smart to get tricked lah. then boss ruined cc's. supposed to have him bbqing alone with cc and he was supposed to flare up at cc cos nobody was helping him. but in the end, after he flared up, he couldn't help smiling..and spoilt the whole thing. hahaha. i was behind cc when it happened. he was going something like..what is there to be angry about with the chicken (chicken wings).. i very nearly choked on my drink. regina was the female lead for binghui's. apparently she 'loves' binghui (or otherwise loudly proclaimed by jeremy). haha..they were having a rehearsal with regina sitting down starring at the floor solemnly when she looked up and asked.."then 下一句是什么？". haha..ultimate man. laugh until stomach pain.... ^__________^ we got to watch our editted version of the video after the bbq. editting was superb, thanks to jianhao, mervyn, huimin, fangxi and zhenlin..did i miss anyone out? really wanted to help but was too busy with my accounts and stuff at the cafe..sighie. anyway..so much memories..so much fun..so much laughter..really felt super nostalgic but i din cry..kinda over that already (i spent the whole christmas missing the team and everything in vietnam..really unforgettable..haha..) i'm jus glad that all those memories happened. (can't wait to get my hands on the non-editted version..all 10 hours of it..haha...) boss mentioned about leading the t-teams (tsunami teams) and another team to thailand. kinda wanna go, especially the t-team but i've got my fop and cafe commitments..sighie. kinda feel like things are tying me down but wat to do..i made the choices. not regreting but jus a little disappointed. anyway, doubt my parents would actually let me go for the tsunami one. YEP was one thing, this is another. the living conditions and hygiene level would be so different. too bad i din make it down to the red cross to volunteer.
